Office of the Special prosecutor is yet to determine when to begin investigation into a petition by Okudzeto Ablakwa against Ken Ofori Atta, Former Minister for Finance and Former Minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu over procurement breaches, inflation of invoices and corruption related issues.

According a press statement by signed special prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, direct commencement of an investigation will begin if he determines the matter is within the mandate of the office of the special prosecutor.

Okudzeto Ablakwa will be contacted for further assistance should the need arise, the statement said.

On Monday July 22, 2024, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency officially requested investigation from the Office of the Special prosecutor into an alleged 34.5 million dollars procurement deal for ambulance spare parts.
