Former captain of the senior national men’s football team, Stephen Appiah has dismissed claims that he slept with socialite, Abena Korkor.
This follows a social media post allegedly made by Abena Korkor that mentioned Appiah and colleague footballer Asamoah Gyan as part of the long list of men she has slept with.
In a tweet on Thursday, the former Black Stars midfield maestro entreated his family, friends and well-wishers to “disregard the offensive and provocative publications and treat it with the contempt it deserves.”
Explaining the circumstances of their meeting said, “I have never encountered the said author in any special way other than at a few open and pubic events where she sought my permission to take pictures with me.”
The former TV3 presenter had in a tweet on Wednesday [March 16, 2022] suggested that she had had an affair with Appiah.
