Students of the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS) and the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) on social media, have expressed their fears over murder of a UGBS student.

In a post spotted by happyghana.com on X, a student of the University of Ghana Business School, identified as a Master’s Student on his way home after class, was knocked down by a speeding vehicle in an attempt to escape from bandits last night.

Attached to the post was a picture of the male student and video footage of his blood on the road. The post stated, “A UGBS Master’s Student met his unfortunate demise on the UPSA-UGBS stretch yesterday, November 21, 2023; reportedly he was returning from class around 8-9pm, when he got attacked by robbers. He tried resisting them and was pushed onto an incoming vehicle where he met his death.”

The post has garnered a lot of attention on social media. Some netizens shared their experiences on the timeline regarding the matter while others demanded for the attention of the Ghana Police Service and the efforts of the government and the respective institutions to mount street lights on that stretch to deter criminal and reduce road accidents of this kind.
