Suspected armed robbers stormed the sokoban Krofrom palace in the Ashanti Region and made away with the traditional black stool.
Some members of the Adumasa family, explained that the suspected armed robbers were heavily built men who invaded the palace after their new Chief and his elders went to the Manhyia Palace to swear the oath of allegiance.
“We were here and suddenly macho men numbering six ambushed the palace with guns and machetes. They destroyed the metal gate and took the black stool away together with other properties”, they said.
Also, one family member noted that when the elders in the palace tried to stop the armed men, they were beaten mercilessly.
They called on the Ghana Police service to expedite investigation into the incident and arrest the men who invaded the palace.
