Rev. Ntim Fordjour, a Member of Parliament and Ranking Member on the Defence and Interior Committee, is reportedly facing an attempted arrest by Ghana’s National Investigation Bureau (NIB).
NIB operatives were seen at his residence, as confirmed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in a Facebook post.
The situation stems from allegations made by Rev. Fordjour about two suspicious flights that landed at the Kotoka International Airport.
He claimed these flights were linked to drug trafficking and money laundering.
However, authorities, including the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC), have stated that Rev. Fordjour has refused to cooperate with their investigations.
The government has denied the allegations, explaining that the flights landed due to technical issues and other legitimate reasons.
This has sparked political tension, with calls for Rev. Fordjour to provide evidence to back his claims.
