Former Member of Parliament for Bortianor‑Ngleshie Amanfro, Sylvester Tetteh has declared his intention to run for the General Secretary position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at a constituency chairmen’s workshop in the Ashanti Region, Tetteh expressed his commitment to energizing the party’s leadership with fresh ideas and strategic direction ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“I am ready to provide the bold, innovative, and pragmatic leadership our great party needs,” he said . “The time has come to inject new energy, innovative ideas, and strategic thinking into the administrative leadership of the NPP.”
Tetteh, who previously served as Deputy Information Minister and CEO of the National Youth Authority, emphasized the importance of uniting the party’s base through effective communication, grassroots mobilisation, and greater youth engagement.
He also promised to run a clean and respectful campaign, underlining the need for unity and decorum within the party.
