The Kwesimintsim District Police Command in Western Region has arrested 22-year-old Anthony Acquah for allegedly murdering his younger brother, 17-year-old Francis Mensah, following a domestic dispute.
The tragic incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Manpong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.
According to a statement issued by Superintendent Olivia Adiku, Head of Public Affairs for the Western Regional Police Command on August 21, 2025 the altercation between the siblings escalated, resulting in Acquah fatally stabbing Francis.
After committing the act, Acquah fled the scene and went into hiding. Acting on credible intelligence, police apprehended him at his hideout in Kojokrom on Wednesday, August 20.
He is currently in police custody assisting investigators, as they work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
