Leader of Common Sense Family, Avram Ben Moshe, has emphatically stated that the Bible is not what Christians think it is but rather an ordinary book anyone can pick up and read.
According to him, a few interactions he has had with the Jews has made him understand that, “the Bible is a Holy book but not what Christians see as a Holy book.”
In an interview with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9 FM’s NsemPii, he said, “If a Jew defines something as Holy, it does not mean it was written by God or sent from heaven as we think. But rather, it means someone who is respected based on their level of spirituality.”
Using the National Chief Imam as an example, he said, “If the Chief Imam writes a book and was a Jew, it would have been called a Holy book not because it was inspired by God like Christians and Muslims believe. But because it was written by someone as knowledgeable in spiritual issues like him.”
He noted that we have understood what exactly the Bible is and are using it wrongly because, “the Jews only say God wrote a book but all the verses in it were written by people like us.”
Avram advised people to read more and acquire knowledge in order not to believe everything they are fed with.
