Head of the Public Relations Unit at the Ministry of Education, Larry George Botchway, has described the National Education Forum as a crucial initiative that will shape progress for Ghana in the near future.

Speaking in an interview with happyghana.com’s Kobina Baidoo, Mr. Botchway emphasized that the forum will introduce reforms designed to comprehensively address challenges in the country’s education sector. “The stakeholders and experts have been divided into five key groups to bring up suggestions and ideas that will bring up solutions for the problems in those areas.”

He highlighted that stakeholder deliberations will provide the government with critical insights into key areas of the education system that require urgent attention. “Everyone will see that this is the new direction. The necessary reforms, areas that have to be analyzed will be provided for the government to make investments into, especially in financing and infrastructure,” he stated.

Mr. Botchway further advocated for the continuity of the forum, echoing its role in building a resilient education system capable of producing exceptional leaders. He expressed optimism that these reforms will position Ghana as a hub of educational excellence and innovation. “These reforms are very important. We need to build Ghana’s education system in a way that will give the younger generation a promising future in Ghana and ensure nationwide development,” he added.
