President John Dramani Mahama has touted the approval of his ministerial nominees, as a step in the right direction for a quick reset of Ghana towards development.

The President made this known during his inaugural State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday, February 27, 2025 in parliament where he commended the efforts of legislators in ensuring the swift approval of ministers.

Mahama touted the move as ‘unmatched’ in the history of the Fourth republic and does well in “demonstrating the strides we can make when we come together in our dedication to serve the people of our great country.” he said to legislators.

The President called for a swift approval of deputy ministers who are presently facing Parliament’s vetting committee which he said will ensure efficiency in government rule.
“I believe that a similar dispatch will be applied to the approval process of my deputy ministerial nominees. This will enable them to promptly assume office and assist their ministers in delivering our noble vision of resetting our dear nation”.
