Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu says Ghana was too soft on the ball in their 1-1 draw game against Niger.

The Black Stars on Monday, September 10, drew 1-1 against Niger after losing 1-0 to Angola days earlier in the ongoing 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Morocco.

And according to Badu, the Black Stars were too slow in the buildup and played the game against Niger as if there was nothing at stake.

“There is no cohesion, no aggressiveness, and slow passing. It looks like there is nothing at stake. We should play, whatever happens, happens. Normally it is difficult for me to talk about players because of the background I am from, but in fact, there is a lot to do if this is how it is going to be.

“We will plead with the coach [Otto Addo] to consider local players, and even if they go and lose, I think Ghanaians will accept it,” Agyemang-Badu said.

Ghana is now third in Group F with just a point with Sudan and Angola claiming the second and first positions.
