On this day 10 May 1998 (Exactly 22 years ago today) Former Ghanaian long distance runner, Frederick Adongo run 3000m National Record of 8:41.83 in Marieta ,United States.

On this day 10 May 1978 (Exactly 42 years ago today) Liverpool FC won the 22nd
European Champion Clubs’ Cup (now Champions League) after beating Club Brugge 1 – 0 at Wembley, London. Kenny Dalglish scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute.

On this day 10 May 1989 (Exactly 31 years ago today) FC Barcelona won the 29th edition of the European Cup Winner’s Cup beating Sampdoria of Italy 2 -0 at the Wankdorp Stadium in Bern, Germany.

On this day 10 May 1995 (Exactly 25 years ago today) Real Zaragoza of Spain won the 35th European Cup Winner’s Cup against Arsenal of England 2-1 in Paris
