U.S. President Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk appear to be locked in an intensifying feud that has captured the attention of social media users around the world.

According to a White House official on Friday, President Trump has no intention of speaking with Musk following the tech billionaire’s abrupt exit from Washington, amid tensions over the president’s sweeping tax-cut bill. “No phone call between the two men is planned for the day,” the official stated.

This comes despite an earlier report from another White House source who had indicated that the two were scheduled to speak.

In an interview with CNN on Friday, Trump dismissed the idea entirely, saying, “I’m not even thinking about Elon. He’s got a problem, the poor guy’s got a problem.”

The online buzz surrounding the rift has not only drawn global audiences but also sparked commentary from influential nations like Russia and various international agencies.

Elon Musk, who had briefly served as Trump’s first non-government employee, left Washington late last month. His departure was reportedly in line with his original goal of pushing for a $2 trillion cut in government spending, as a mission that ultimately shaped the reason for his exit.
