A delegation of Chiefs from Sefwi in the Western Region have expressed their dissatisfaction over the action of some members of parliament who interrupted the vetting process on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

The chiefs who travelled over 10 hours to Accra to Support the Minister Designate for Health, Kwabena Minta Akandoh criticized the actions of the MPs who disrupted the vetting.

According to them, the violence that ensued during the vetting indicates that the MPs have no respect for chiefs and traditional leaders describing the act as disrespectful to them, despite their presence.

Some of the traditional leaders were captured in a video shared on social media stating that, they have travelled all the way from Western North to support their own but they were not given the necessary attention and respect they deserved.

This was after confusion erupted between the minority and majority over the vetting of Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and Okudzeto Ablakwa.
