Director of Communications at Ghana Gas Company, Ernest Owusu Bempah, says he did not insult Ghanaians.

He was reacting to an audio circulating on social media purported to be his voice chastising Ghanaians who are complaining about economic hardships under the Nana Addo led Administration. He insisted that those complaining are thieves whose crooked ways have been found out. He cannot fathom why after Free SHS people will still complain of hardship.

Speaking on ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show on Happy FM to Kwame Afrifa-Mensah he said, “Go to my Facebook wall and download the audio, because playing just part of the audio will not tell Ghanaians the full story. I was referring to the Former Mahama appointees who don’t have the moral right to complain because it is their negligence that caused this supposed hardship.’’

He categorically refused to apologise to Ghanaians when the host of ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ Kawme Afrifa-Mensah implored him to do so.

Owusu Bempah took over from Alfred Ogbamey, who held the position since the inception of the company in 2011.

Veteran Journalist and Social Commentator, Kwesi Pratt Jnr slammed President Nana Addo’s appointment of Ernest Owusu Bempah as Director of Communications at the Ghana Gas Company, describing it as flawed.

“I’m shocked that the appointment letter came from the Flagstaff House. The Ghana Gas Company, is a subsidiary of GNPC. The company has its own Board. Why should the appointment of a middle level personnel be done by the president? This development is frightening; we should be careful of such developments as it creates problems.” Kwesi Pratt jnr observed!

However, Ghana Gas Company is a state agency mandated to operate the infrastructure required for the gathering, processing, transporting and marketing of natural gas resources in Ghana.
