Shatta Wale had a successful album launch on 13th October 2018 and its regarded as the greatest album launch in recent times. Interestingly, Mark Okraku Mantey has stated that Sarkodie contributed massively to the success of the album launch.
According to Okraku Mantey, Sarkodie’s “Advice” diss to Shatta Wale gingered the SM fans to rally behind their boss to prove to Ghanaians that Shatta Wale is still the King of Ghana Music.
Okraku Mantey explained on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM that Shatta Wale was highly demeaned by Sarkodie’s diss song so his fans had no choice but to make the Reign Album launch a success to prove a point to the media and Ghanaians.
Shatta Wale launched the Reign album on Saturday 13th October 2018 at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Center, Accra and according to reports, a minimum of 9000 people attended the launch.
Shatta Wale equally made history when he sold the first copy of the Reign album for GH¢150,000. It was bought by a gentleman identified as Sledge and his wife.
