The Deputy Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mahdi Jibril has revealed that members of the vigilante groups travel in the convoy of the Vice president Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
According to him, the members of the dreaded vigilante groups travel in the eighteen-car convoy of the vice president anytime he travels around.
He says these situations have emboldened the operations of the groups across the country and making them visit mayhem on innocent people.
Mahdi Jibril made this revelation when he appeared as a panelist together with Kwabena Barimah, a member of the communications team of the governing NPP on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa Mensah on the Happy FM.
When the stalwarts like the vice president are in support of the operations of the dreaded group how can they be controlled?.
He alleged that a handful of them have been co-opted into the national security apparatus.
