A final-year student of Wa T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (Wa AMASS) is in critical condition following a stabbing incident that occurred on campus on Tuesday night.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation involved two final-year students: Iddrisu Ibrahim, popularly known as Lincoln and his colleague Hafis, also known as Baayaawa, a General Arts student.
The dispute reportedly began when Lincoln allegedly filmed Hafis without his consent. Despite demands for the video to be deleted, Lincoln is said to have refused and downplayed threats from Hafis. The disagreement quickly escalated into violence.
Witnesses say Hafis allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed Lincoln multiple times in the ribs and stomach. Despite his injuries, Lincoln managed to walk to the school’s library before collapsing.
Lincoln was immediately taken to the Wa Regional Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as critical but stable.
The suspect, Hafis, was apprehended by police shortly after the incident. Security on the school campus has since been reinforced to prevent further tensions or retaliation among students.
While school authorities are yet to release an official statement, police investigations are ongoing.
