The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of 12,452 candidates who sat for the 2025 first series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for private candidates.
Candidates can check their results on the WAEC online portal by entering their examination number and required credentials.
The total number of candidates comprised 5,269 males and 7,998 females, while 738 registered candidates were absent.
WAEC detected instances of malpractice both during the examination and the marking process. As a result, the subject results of 34 candidates and the entire results of 43 candidates have been withheld pending investigations.
The Council also cautioned the public against scammers who claim to upgrade results for a fee via mobile money transfers. WAEC assured that its results database is secure and that all results can be verified.
