Head coach of the Ghana Black Stars B, Maxwell Konadu, has named his starting line-up against Gambia for Ghana’s opener in the ongoing 2019 West African Football Union (WAFU) tournament in Senegal.

All seven invited players from Ghanaian giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have been selected to start from the bench.

Meanwhile, Ghana’s first game was postponed from 28th September 2019 to today, 1st October 2019, due to CAF Champions league and CAF Confederations Cup matches played by Asante Kotoko and Ashanti Gold respectively over the weekend.
It is however unclear what informed the coach’s decision to bench the players.

Below is the full list of Coach Konadu’s starting XI against Gambia this evening:

Eric Ofori Antwi (GK)
Fatawu Mohammed
Moro Ibrahim
Issaka Mohammed
Mohammed Alhassan
Benjamin Afutu
James Akaminko
Appiah McCarthy
Abudul Latif Anabila
Joseph Esso
Shafiu Mumuni

Substitutes:
Felix Annan
Patrick Yeboah
Habib Mohammed
Justice Blay
Emmanuel Gyamfi
Augustine Okrah
Richard Arthur
Prince Opoku Agyemang
Ali Ouattara
Isaac Hagan

All 22 matches of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations will be hosted at Stade Lat Dior in Thies, Senegal.
