National Football League players of African descent have embraced an African oriented style of clothing for every match appearance, causing a massive stir on social media platforms worldwide.
The National Football League (NFL) is America’s headlining professional American football league.
The trend began when NFL linebacker, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, strapped himself in the Ghanaian kente cloth and complimenting kente slippers for matches since the beginning of the season in 2023.
Many black NFL players, especially in 2024 have joined in representing the African continent by showing up for matches in Afrocentric clothing.
Many social media users admire the bold move of emancipation made by the NFL players while others have alerted the NFL to moderate it.
