The bankroller of AshantiGold SC, Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has confirmed that the club has allowed the team head coach, Kjetil Zachariassen to join Asante Kotoko after CK Akonnor’s exit.
Asante Kotoko has terminated its contract with coach CK Akonnor after nine months of being in charge.
The 45-year-old signed a three-years contract with the Porcupine Worries in October last year after terminating his contact with AshantiGold SC.
Speaking to Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports, Dr Kwaku Frimpong said, “Kjetil is joining Asante Kotoko”.
“That’s how we always do it. This is “Asanteman Nkoso” so if Kotoko needs something you can’t turn it down. So we have released him to them and we have a replacement”, he said.
The Bankroller of the miners wish the coach all the best in his future endeavors.
