It is not my intention to privatize ECG - President Mahama

President John Mahama has reaffirmed his commitment to working with the World Bank to help stabilize the country’s economy.

Speaking during a meeting with representatives from the World Bank, President Mahama pledged his commitment to continue working with the world Bank as partners to ensure a proper reset of the country.

‘’We want to work with the word bank to turn things around quickly. The World Bank has been a very good partner and we work together on many projects. the world Bank has been one true partner to help to stabilize things and we want to continue to work with you to do that’’.

According to President Mahama, Ghana’s partnership with the World Bank will help put the country back on track, in terms of economic stability, Governance, job creation and poverty alleviation.

‘’Ghana has more resources to be able to deal with the situation and turn things around. I use the word Reset. We need a reset, we need to reset this country and put it back on track. to be able to create Jobs for young people and empower women as well as eliminate poverty’’.

President Mahama also assured the World Bank of creating an enabling Business environment for foreign investors which will help increase the country’s investment.

‘’To be able to do this we must increase investment, open Ghana for Business again and create atmosphere where people see Ghana as a favoured destination for doing business’’.
