The chairman of the Ghana Toll Workers Union, Henry Dogbe, has expressed satisfaction with the NDC government’s intention to reintroduce tollbooths.
According to him, the assurance from the Minister of Roads and Highway Designate, Kwame Agbodza, during his vetting at the appointment committee has brought great excitement to him and the other former tollbooth workers across the country.
In an interview with Happy Kaseɛbɔ, Henry Dogbe, urged the current administration to bring back the toll in a modernized form to ensure free flow of traffic.
He, however, has asked the government to fix all dilapidated roads particularly where the tolls would be situated.
Mr. Dogbe, however, appealed to the Minister Designate that when he fully assumes the position, he should make sure the reintroduction of the toll booths in a modernized way do not eliminate the people working at the booths.
