Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kwesi Himighty, popularly known as Antwi Ne Antwi, has refuted claims that celebrated gospel musician and producer Nacee wrote their hit song Sekina.
Speaking in an interview with an Accra-based radio station monitored by Happyghana.com, Kwesi Himighty the ‘Sekina’ hitmaker clarified that although Nacee is a talented songwriter who has supported them in the past, he was not responsible for writing Sekina.
“Nacee wasn’t the one who wrote Sekina for us. The song was written by us (Antwi Ne Antwi). We only recorded it in his studio with his support, but he didn’t write it for us,” he explained.
He further disclosed that Nacee did, however, wrote the song ‘Odo Nkomo’ for the group during their earlier years which they added the chorus and other section of the song, contrary to claims being circulated about ‘Sekina’.
Kwesi Himighty emphasized that ‘Sekina’ was entirely composed by Antwi Ne Antwi, while expressing appreciation to Nacee for his contributions to their musical journey and success.
