The vice chairman of the Premier League Board, George Amoako has revealed that his outfit will compensate Elmina Sharks after their week 3 fixture against Berekum Chelsea was postponed.
The Fearsome Boys arrived in Berekum on Monday to prepare for of their mid-week fixture against Chelsea on Wednesday but upon their arrival, they were informed that the game has been postponed.
According to reports, the Church of Pentecost will be holding their Easter crusade on the Berekum Golden City Park on Wednesday.
In an interview with Happy FM, Vice Chairman of the PLB, George Amoako indicated that the PLB will compensate Elmina Sharks for the cost incurred in their travel as well as their hotel bills.
“Yes, they have communicated with us and we’ve agreed to settle them. It’s unfortunate but I wouldn’t want to drag it as we have already concluded the chapter.”
“I can promise that we’ll not see anything of this sort in the league again.”
Meanwhile, all the games at the other centres will go ahead as planned.
