Black Stars captain and talisman Asamoah Gyan has asserted that Ghana’s side is better than Uganda’s though he is careful not to rubbish the form of the Cranes.
According to Gyan, statistically, the Black Stars are better and should the Cranes win in Tuesday’s clash, it will be big news.
“No disrespect to the Uganda team but everyone knows that we ahead of them statistically and if they beat Ghana, it will be big news but if we beat them people will say it’s a normal thing but I want to tell people Uganda is a great team and they’ve demonstrated their qualities in the last few months. That’s why they’re one of the best teams in Africa. But we hope to beat them in the game.” Asamoah Gyan told Happy FM’s Mac-Paradise Okocha in Port Gentil.
The Black Stars play their Ugandan counterparts in the Group D opener in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
