Dreams FC’s Communications Manager,Joseph Odei Afrifa Sarfo has emphasized the team’s commitment to winning all home games as a crucial strategy for success in the CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

Following their triumph in the third group game against an Angolan club with a 3-2 away victory at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda, the Ghana FA Cup champions demonstrated prowess.

Youngster Abdul Aziz Issah initiated the scoring just 10 minutes into the game, but the home team swiftly responded, equalizing through Nelo four minutes later.

Veteran striker John Antwi delivered a stellar performance, reclaiming Dreams FC’s lead in the 58th minute, while Gael Aholou Avocevou secured victory in the 88th minute. The home team managed to reduce the deficit in stoppage time through Samuel Cachimbombo.

In an interview on Happy FM’s Wamputu Sports with Sintim-Koree Chaskele, Sarfo acknowledged Lobito as a formidable opponent and highlighted Dreams FC’s clinical edge in seizing opportunities.

“Lobito isn’t a bad side, we ( Dreams FC) were the clinical side on the day and we took our chances. As compared to our other group opponents that is Rivers United, Club African, Lobito is also comparatively also a very tough side. Our focus now is to win all our home matches because it eases the pressure on us away from home. The boys are determined and we want to qualify out of our group”.

With goals from Abdul Aziz Issah, John Antwi, and Aholou Gael Avocevou, Dreams FC secured a crucial away win, bringing their total points to six and positioning them alongside Tunisian side Club Africain and Rivers United in the standings.
