The aspiring National Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has questioned the motives of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in supporting Madam Charlotte Osei alone when there are two other deputy directors involved in the impeachment exercise embarked on by the Chief Justice Sophia Akufo.
There are two other deputies involved in the impeachment exercise namely Amadu Sulley and Margaret Adu Amankwa so, why has the NDC singled out support for the chair he kept questioning.
‘Why is the NDC singling out their support for only the embattled Electoral Commissioner when there are two other deputies involved in the matter’.
Mr. Omari Wadie raised these questions on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
According to the aspiring National officer and former Constituency Chairman for Ayawaso Westwuogon in the Greater Accra Region, the action of the elements in the NDC is worsening the case of the EC boss.
He explained the action of the party since the Chief Justice announced that there is prima facie case againt the EC boss and set up the committee, all has not been well in the NDC.
He noted that ‘what is the NDC afraid of when the EC boss is impeached in accordance with the law.
He added that the way the NDC is behaving in the matter of the impeachment of the EC boss, what will the party do, if she is found culpable in the matter of corruption brought against her by the petitioners.
