Former AshantiGold midfielder, Alhaji Saanie, said he left the club because of Coach Bashiru Hayford.
Saanie who won two SWAG Cups with the miners said Coach Bash really frustrated him when he came to the club which led to his exit.
According to him, Bashiru Hayford was not fair in their team selection as he favoured other players instead of selecting players based on performance and hardwork.
Speaking in an interview on Happy Sports Where Are They program, he said, “Coach Bashiru Hayford wasn’t fair with me during my time at AshGold. I had a lot of quarrels with him”, he told Ohene-Bampoe Brenya on Happy 98.9FM.
“I am a very discipline player but it got to a time I had to also pour out my frustrations. Sometimes the supporters even questions Coach Bash why he dropped me from games. I left to Karela United because of Coach Bash”.
Despite the cold words towards the now Legon Cities head coach, Saanie praised Coach David Duncan for playing a huge role in his career.
“Coach David Duncan has done a lot for me in my career. Whenever I pray, I pray for him too because he is God sent. He had so much confidence in me and gave me opportunities to excel”
Saanie proposed that Coach David Duncan should be handed the Black Stars coaching job since he is capable of the doing the job.
