Mike 2, a Ghanaian presenter, has asserted that the colleague of Oswald’s mother who took to social media to post the little boy’s letter to his mother about what he wanted for our day was wrong to have posted it.

The story of the nine-year-old student of Christ Ambassadors International School has been the talk to Twitter for close to a week now, however, Mike 2 is not happy with the young man for posting little Oswald’s letter. He made this clear during an interview with Doctar Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra.

“With how I was raised, seeing such a letter, I think that whoever took it and brought it onto social media was wrong. People don’t see anything wrong with it so to them, the person did no wrong but if someone gives you something to look at and you post it on social media without their consent, it is wrong”, he said.

Mike further quizzed, “Why are we showcasing a nine-year-old on social media and why are his parents happy about this? If my child writes such a letter to me, what comes to mind is why is he writing this letter? Is it that his mother doesn’t give him when he asks? That is what the letter is telling us but that might not be the case. Maybe his parents always give him something for ‘our day’ so why did he now demand in a letter adding that they shouldn’t disappoint him?”

In his opinion, the person who posted the letter in the first place was wrong because he has breached the little boy’s privacy since the letter was meant for his mother and not the public. Again, he added that if Oswald was his son, he would have punished him for making people think he does not buy him anything for our day and thereby disgracing him.

Mike 2 however thanked corporate institutions for their freely donating the gift items to the boy and the school. “We know that this is not the first time corporate institutions are doing donations and we thank them for that”, he concluded.
