Security agencies in Winneba have intensified efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful Christmas season for residents of the Effutu community.
Officials from the Ghana Police Service, Immigration, Prisons, and Fire Service held a joint planning meeting at the Winneba Divisional Police Headquarters in Ateitu to coordinate festive security measures.
Addressing personnel, Divisional Police Commander ACP Ibrahim Opoku said the briefing was aimed at ensuring that all security agencies effectively carry out their duties to protect lives and property during the holiday period.
He stressed that maintaining peace during the celebrations requires collaboration between security personnel and the public, urging residents to cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies.
ACP Opoku also assured the community that measures would be in place to safeguard individual rights and prevent any actions that could disrupt harmony during the festivities.
He further encouraged the public to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
He added that security personnel are fully prepared to protect all residents in the municipality throughout the festive period.
