The annual 3Music Awards which came off on Saturday, May 2, 2020, saw the ‘grandpa’ of hiplife, Reggie Rockstone being honored with the Outstanding Achievement Award.

Speaking in an interview on Happy98.9FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive’, the veteran musician mentioned that, “winning the achievement award is a statement to the music fraternity”.
According to him, the award reinforces the fact that he has contributed immensely to making the Ghanaian music scene what it is now.
With the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana and respect to the President’s ban on all social gatherings, the 2020 3Music Awards was held virtually and streamed to audiences via social media, web platforms and some selected televison stations.

Reggie Rockstone was not the only one honoured at the event. The late Ewurama Badu and Dennis Tawiah, CEO of Akwaaba UK, a top promotions company in the UK were also honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award.
The three were honoured for their immeasurable contributions to the growth of the music industry.
