Y FM’s Edita wins best DJ of the Western Region

The official DJ of the “Dryve of Your Lyfe” show aired on YFM Takoradi, Richard Yeboah has grabbed the best DJ award of the Western Region at the just ended Ghana DJ Awards.

DJ Edita battled out with other renowned DJs such as DJ Bibini of Melody FM, DJ Berry of Westgold Radio, among others to emerge winner of the category.

As his first ever nomination in this category, DJ Edita’s win has proven beyond doubt that he is the “best from the west”.

His masterstroke in disc jockeying has earned his late afternoon show “Dryve of Your lyfe” as the most listened to show in Western Region. Alongside his great performance on-air, DJ Edita has shown his prowess in disc jockeying at massive events such as the YFM Takoradi Area Codes recently held at the Takoradi Mall.

Speaking about his win DJ Edita said: ”I am elated and grateful for the recognition. I thank my Y97.9 crew who have supported me in diverse ways and to my listeners in Takoradi and across Ghana,I say we did this.”

Programmes Manager for YFM Takoradi, Mr. Agyekum Gyimah Akwasi expressed his awe at DJ’s Edita’s recognition at the Ghana DJ Awards that he stated: “DJ Edita has come very far in his career and that is because he put in so much effort. I am very proud of him and I wish him even greater achievements in all his endeavors”

The maestro DJ has a song entitled “Chop Chop” to his credit that features Takoradi based artiste,Jaqson.

The Ghana DJ Awards which took place on 2nd November, 2019 celebrates and appreciates the contributions of Disc Jockeys (DJs) and emcees (MCs) in Ghana.
