Y102.5FM has announced the launch of “Full Tank,” an innovative activation programme designed to celebrate commercial drivers whilst promoting road safety and product education in an engaging format.

The initiative combines live radio broadcasting with practical driver education, creating a unique platform that recognises the vital role commercial drivers play in Ghana’s economy. Full Tank will feature live broadcasts from selected taxi and trotro stations on the last Friday of each month, bringing YFM’s popular programming directly to the drivers and commuters who keep the city moving.

The programme’s mechanics centre around comprehensive driver education covering product knowledge, services, and crucial road safety information. Participants will engage in sponsor product quiz competitions, with winners receiving fuel tank refills as prizes. This approach transforms traditional advertising into an interactive educational experience that delivers tangible benefits to the community.

“Full Tank represents our commitment to giving back to the hardworking commercial drivers who are the backbone of our transport system,” said Nathaniel Osei Kuffour, General Manager of YFM Y102.5FM. “We’re not just entertaining; we’re educating and rewarding those who serve our community daily. This activation perfectly aligns with our mission to create meaningful connections whilst promoting road safety and supporting local livelihoods.”

The first Full Tank event is scheduled for 12 September at 3:00PM at Atonsu Market, one of Kumasi’s bustling transport hubs. The programme promises “More Music, Freeeee Fuel,” delivering YFM’s signature entertainment alongside practical benefits for participants.

YFM Y102.5FM continues to innovate in community engagement, using creative activations to address real social needs whilst maintaining its position as the region’s leading youth-focused radio station.
