The Member of Parliament for Yagaba/Kubori constituency, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, has come to the aid of residents in the constituency through his foundation, the Mustapha Ussif Empowerment Fund.

This was done on Tuesday, September 6, through the ‘Mustapha Ussif Empowerment Fund,’ which awarded some 200 tertiary students in the constituency with awarded educational scholarships. It also presented over 30 wheelchairs to some persons living with disability (PWDs).

The Sports Minister advised the youth in the constituency to take their education seriously and desist from social vices.

Briefing the media following his interaction with residents who attended the ceremony, he said, “I took advantage of the occasion to admonish the beneficiaries and the youth to take their education seriously and avoid engaging in social vices on campus and at home.”

“I also informed them of a full scholarship package for any constituent who gains admission to a medical school and law faculties.

“I urged them to take advantage of the numerous youth initiatives rolled out by the government such as the Youstart, National Youth Volunteers Programme, Ghana Enterprise Agency’s grant for SMEs, and agriculture/agro-processing agencies among others,” he stated.

The ‘Mustapha Ussif Empowerment Fund’ has been undertaking developmental projects in the constituency to improve the lives of residents.
