Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Yaw Boateng Gyan has lauded the Free SHS initiative by the current ruling government, New Patriotic Party (NNP).
The Free Senior High School Programme of the Government has been rated the most popular initiative by majority of Ghanaians.
Despite its related challenges, Mr. Yaw Boateng commended the leadership of the ruling New Patriotic Party for the introduction of the policy, and indicated that the NDC will continue with the policy should they reclaim the presidential seat in 2020.
“Yes I will endorse free SHS, although people have spoken against it. For me, I will never speak against it because it’s good and majority of Ghanaians are happy with it,” Boateng stated on Happy FM’s EPA HOA DEBAN Show.
“So we’ll continue with the policy if we come to power. It’s helping and I think we shouldn’t abandon it.”
