YFM Grabs 13 Nominations at Ghana DJ Awards

Renowned Disc Jockeys (DJs) and Emcees of YFM, Ghana’s number one urban radio station, have gone all out in bagging nominations at the upcoming Ghana DJ awards slated for November 2nd 2019.
The station saw nominations of 5 of its topnotch DJs and 1 of its elite emcees grab a total of thirteen (13) nominations at the upcoming Ghana DJ awards, with DJ Mic Smith having the highest number of nominations.

YFM’s avid Disc Jockey, Michael Owusu, popularly known as DJ Mic Smith has been nominated in eight categories in total at the upcoming Ghana DJ Awards. He has shown that he is not a novice as he has 4 awards and 6 nominations to his name. In this year’s DJ Awards, he battles out with other DJs to win in the category of Best DJ-Greater Region, DJ/Artist Collaboration of the Year, Best Event DJ of the year, Artiste DJ of the Year, Mixtape of the Year, Best Night Club DJ of the Year, Record Promoter of the Year and Best DJ of the Year.

The doyen of musical mixing, DJ Ganj of YFM was also nominated for the Best Afro beats/Hiplife DJ of the Year and the Record Promoter of the Year. DJ Ganj is widely known for his great musical records such as “Gbo” which featured Novo and Broni with Possi Gee as the producer.

The official DJ of the” Dryve of Your Lyfe” show aired on YFM Takoradi, DJ Edita was not left out as he was nominated for Best DJ-Western Region. Even though this is his first-ever nomination, he has proved beyond doubt that he is the “Best In The West”.
The multi-talented DJ Loft has inscribed his name in the category of Best Night Club DJ of the Year with his exceptional skills.

YFM’s very own, DJ Bone was also nominated for Reggae/Dancehall DJ of the Year. DJ Bone has shown that he has a penchant for disc jockeying.

Kojo Manuel who is a dab hand at emceeing has grabbed a nomination in the category of Best MC of the Year. He won the award for the Best MC and Media Personality at the FAME Awards 2018. 

Programmes Manager for YFM, Eddy Blay congratulated all nominees from YFM on their nominations at the Ghana DJ Awards.
