Listeners of Ghana’s number one urban radio, YFM have earned for themselves some fowls at the YFM Chicken Chase Challenge. This was as part of activities to mark the station’s 11th anniversary celebrations.

The Chicken Challenge which took place at the parking lot of Backyard event center in East Legon, American house saw listeners of ‘Dryve of Your Lyf’ on YFM turn up, in their numbers to support the event.

The Chicken Chase Challenge, hosted by Joel Orleans was scheduled for 2 rounds with a time limit of 15 minutes each. The challenge started with 8 contestants chasing chicks, Chichi, Chuchu, Chacha and chocho in a rectangular barricade.

With Africa’s Shutdown King, DJ Mic Smith entertaining participants with a brew of quality African music, the contestants entered the rectangular barricade where the chicks were released. And the chase began.

The contestants who obviously did not come to play were real quick in catching the chicks and presenting them for their fully grown fowls.

Programmes Manager of YFM Accra, Eddy Blay during the presentation of fowls to the catchers noted that, “Chale, this some experienced chicken catching. I thought it was going to be really really difficult but it seems the guys are good at catching things. You all did a really great job.”

He also expressed appreciation to all who were present to support the activity.

Guests were also entertained with a variety of games including snooker, VR games and a Fifa competition.

The Chicken Chase Challenge is the first of its kind on radio in Ghana and promises to be bigger and better. It’s a Vibe!!!
