The number 1 Youth Urban radio station in Ghana, YFM in partnership with Kasapreko Company Limited’s Hunter’s Cider is set to storm Ghana with an extraordinary pool tournament.

The YFM Hunter’s Pool Tournament which was launched, 1st October, 2021, is an activation which aims at bringing together all lovers and players of the pool game to compete against each other for the title of ultimate Pool star in the country.

The tournament will begin with the preliminary stages taking place at different locations across 5 regions in Ghana; Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Western Region, Central Region and Eastern Region, with the final contest coming off in the nation’s capital.

Two bottles of Hunter’s gold or dry qualifies anyone to participate in the tournament.
Participants will then receive a unique ticket which will qualify them for the Pool Tournament.

Y107.9FM’s Programmes Manager, Eddy Blay Jr. speaking on behalf of the organizers on the modalities of the tournament indicated that “all games, but the final, shall be a knockout tournament. The games shall be the best of 3 played to determine winner. Players shall be made to follow laid down health and safety protocols the whole time during the game and all other rules shall be read during on-air sessions and before the games.”

Jude Matti, Marketing Manager of Kasapreko speaking on reasons for their involvement in the tournament stated, “We are pleased to engage and give our target consumers premium experiences. Hunter’s is Ghana’s top selling apple cider and the number 2 cider globally. Our brand is a real natural cider made from highest quality ingredients. Naturally filtered, naturally pure for the ultimate refreshment on any occasion. So I urge all to join us on this exciting journey as we search for Ghana’s pool star.

To participate, you only need to buy 2 bottles of Hunter’s at any of the published tournament outlets and you could be on the way to win several branded goodies and get to battle it out at the grand finale.”

The prize packed contest will see the ultimate winner walk away with a cash prize of Prize GHc 10,000, a trophy and medal, and cases of Hunter’s. The 1st runner up of the event will also win a weekend stay in any local destination of choice, a medal plus cases of Hunter’s. The 2nd runner up, will win a weekend stay of a local destination of choice and cases of Hunter’s.

Other giveaways include a Pool table set, professional cues and cartons of Hunter’s.
