Y102.5 FM Kumasi’s DJ Coleda has once again demonstrated her mastery of the turntables, winning the prestigious ‘Scratch DJ of the Year’ award at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
The event, which celebrates Ghana’s most outstanding DJs, recognized Coleda for her exceptional skill, creativity, and stage presence, qualities that have solidified her as one of the top DJs in the country.
This latest victory adds to her track record of excellence, including her earlier recognition as Female DJ of the Year in 2022. Over the years, DJ Coleda has grown into a household name in Kumasi’s entertainment scene, captivating audiences with her dynamic blends and unmatched scratch techniques.
DJ Coleda bags Scratch DJ of the Year at 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards
DJ Coleda is the host of the popular ‘Cold Night’ show on Y102.5FM Kumasi and also serves as the resident DJ for ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe’ and the ‘AfroPolitanMix’. Her unique sound, consistency, and versatility continue to set her apart as one of the leading voices in Ghana’s urban music culture.
Reacting to her win, an excited DJ Coleda said: “Winning ‘Scratch DJ of the Year’ means so much to me. It’s a celebration of hard work, passion, and the love I have for the craft. I’m grateful to YFM, my listeners, and everyone who has supported my journey. This award motivates me to push even harder and keep elevating Ghanaian DJ culture.”
Programmes Manager of YFM Kumasi, Nathaniel Osei Kuffuor (Mahony), praised Coleda’s accomplishment and her impact on the station. “Coleda is an exceptional talent, dedicated, consistent, and deeply passionate about her craft. Her win is well deserved and reflects the value she brings not only to Y102.5FM, but to the entire entertainment ecosystem in Kumasi. The 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards once again showcased the best in Ghanaian DJing, and DJ Coleda’s victory stands as a remarkable highlight of the night, solidifying her place among the finest talents in the industry.
