Former Ghana U-17 star, Willie Brown believes the inclusion of many young players in the current Black Stars team under coach Chris Hughton will produce results in the coming years.

His assertion comes on the back of the recent impressive performances from Mohammed Kudus -23, Ernest Nuamah – 19, and many other youngsters in Ghana’s 2-1 victory against Central African Republic in their AFCON qualifiers on Thursday 7 September followed by a 3-1 victory against Liberia in a friendly encounter on Tuesday 12 September.

Kudus and Nuamah were on the scoresheet for the Stars in both games to the excitement of many Ghanaian football enthusiasts including Willie.

“Many have complained about the style of play of the Black Stars despite winning games. The positive thing about this team is that there are many youngsters in the team which means the team is evolving around them. It’s a good sign and we should look at the bright side of this because, in the coming years, these youngsters will rule Ghana football,” Willie stated during an interview on Happy Sports Where Are They? Segment.

Interestingly, heading into the World Cup in Qatar last year, Ghana presented one of the youngest squads in the tournament with an average age of 24.9 years under coach Otto Addo with Hughton assisting.

Hughton since taking charge as Black Stars Head Coach is yet to lose a game in five matches and has qualified Ghana for a successive 10th AFCON tournament to be held in Cote D’iviore next year.
