Andre Ayew set to join West Ham for £16m

West Ham are looking to seal a £16m deal for Swansea’s Andre Ayew, according to the Sun.
The Ghana international has been linked with a move away from the Liberty Stadium since Sunderland’s unsuccessful bid back in January, and now West Ham join the Black Cats along with a host of other teams that are rumoured to be interested in the versatile midfielder.
However, it is believed West Ham have won the race for the player they could have signed for free last summer — despite the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea supposedly being interested as well.
If Ayew does depart to the Olympic Stadium or anywhere else, the Swans are expected to make a move for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello.
The Spaniard, who spent last season out on loan at Fiorentina, has been linked with Southampton and AC Milan. But Swansea will go all out for the 24-year-old should they lose Ayew.
Ayew was Swansea’s star performer last season, finishing as the club’s top scorer with 12 goals.
Francesco Guidolin’s squad is currently lacking in the forward department with the club’s only reconsigned striker Bafetimbi Gomis close to signing for Marseille, while Ayew’s future looks to be away from the Liberty Stadium.
Striker Alberto Paloschi also departed Swansea last month after failing to make an impact after he signed from Serie A side Chievo in January.
The Swans are now said to be looking at Sevilla target man Fernando Llorente, as they attempt to bolster their squad in the forward area.
