The first phase of surgery for Madam Henrietta Amoah,  who was doused with acid by her boyfriend, has been successful in New Delhi, India.
The victim and her mother who left the country on Friday 3rd March 2017, are waiting for three more surgeries which are expected to correct the defects she suffered as a result of the acid attack.
The second phase of the surgery is set to start in the next few days.

The tragedy happened 2 year ago whiles she was taking her bath in Osu where she resides, by her boyfriend who poured acid on her face, leading to her inability to see properly with her face and head dangerously burnt and deformed. Listeners who were touched after she narrated her painful ordeal on the award winning show “Nsem Pii” hosted by Pastor Nyansa Boakwa, donated an amount of GHc 50,000 which was used to fly the victim and her mother to India’s capital for her surgery.
Information reaching us from India where the surgery is taking place is that, the victim, Henrietta Amoah after her successful first phase of the surgery, is now able to roll, blink, open and move her eyes now.
