Al Gharafa are putting the final touches on their preparations ahead of facing Al Mesaimeer in the Amir Cup on Thursday evening.
Sumaila, 26, trained with the squad after he was rested in their last game of the league season against Al Kharaitiyat.
According to multiple news reports, Sumaila will start the game at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium on Thursday.
The hardworking centre back will be aiming to to annex the trophy he won with Kuwaiti side Al Quadisa last year in his first season at the club.
The Cheetahs are strong bookie’s favourite to win the coveted trophy this year.
