Ghana captain and talisman, Asamoah Gyan has joined UAE side Al Ahli Dubai FC on a one-year deal after his expected move to Reading FC fell through.
Gyan, who was a cult hero for Al Ain before smashing a deal to join Chinese side Shanghai SIPG, expressed elation at his new found love.
“I want to say to all fans in UAE that I am back to UAE, I am back home. The relationship I had with people was fantastic so I had to come back and continue the relationship.
“And also I like to thank the fans of Al Ain so much. We had a great four seasons. Everything was great. I want to thank the fans for the love.
“I thank everybody so much for the love.”
