He said it is for this reason among others that Vodafone embarks on a number of health campaign to bring healthcare delivery closer to people.
The ‘’Healthfest,’ he said, targets to screen over 500 residents of Bantama, and explained that it has been an ongoing project aimed at providing health care services to all manner of people especially those in deprived communities who cannot afford the cost of medical care.
He observed that the medical team on the ground will prescribe the needed medication to all those who will be screened, which will be provided for free, and also make referrals for further checks of those screened if necessary.
Dr. Steven Kofi Amankwah, of the South Patasi Hospital, who was part of the medical team at the event, noted that people wait until the last stages of their ailment before seeking medical care.
He however encouraged Ghanaians to develop and maintain a well-structured medical check plan, undertake regular exercise, maintain a healthy lifestyle while eating balanced meals to avoid getting some preventable diseases.
