Gunners battling Chelsea for Bundesliga defender

Arsenal will have to take on Chelsea for Borussia Dortmund’s Sokratis Papastathopoulos, with both London clubs reportedly interested.
Goal report that the Greek international isn’t unhappy in the Bundesliga.
But at 29, he is eager to test himself elsewhere and go to a club that could help him win titles before he has to hang up his boots.
“When you are young you have time to get things, but I am not anymore and I want to win titles,” he previously told Funke Mediengruppe.

Barcelona initiate Fabregas-esque plan to lure Bellerin

Barcelona want to use a strategy that helped them land Cesc Fabregas back from Arsenal in 2011 in order to sign Hector Bellerin from the Gunners.
The Blaugrana put the initiative on the Chelsea star back in 2011 by pushing him to propose sacrifices in terms of wages to help facilitate a move, report Mundo Deportivo.
Fabregas dropped his salary by €4m over the course of his deal to help Barcelona push through the move.
Arsene Wenger wants €50m for the right-back, who could be asked to submit a transfer request if he wants to leave, something that Fabregas refused to do in 2011 in order to not enrage the Gunners faithful. A series of games are about to unfold in the weeks ahead!

Reds ‘join race for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe’

Liverpool could be getting in line for Monaco and France starlet Kylian Mbappe.
The teenage forward already has more than the attention of Man United and Arsenal, along with other top clubs, but the Reds are in the hunt too.
The Daily Mail claims Jurgen Klopp has held ‘preliminary talks’ with Mbappe’s people after the club has monitored his progress for the past 12 months.
Mbappe is in contention to face some of his potential new team-mates on Tuesday when England face France in Paris.
He was brought off the bench to replace Antoine Griezmann in their 2-1 defeat by Sweden on Friday night.

Costa open to loan switch

Diego Costa is open to being loaned out by Atletico Madrid should Chelsea want to off-load him this summer.
The striker still contends Antonio Conte was out of order telling him that his plans didn’t included the Spaniard.
And he’s bracing for a move away from west London.
After scoring for Spain in their 2-1 win over Macedonia he told Cadena SER: “Signing for Atletico doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t be playing. I could be loaned out.
“Chelsea are my owners. If they want to sell me, they’ll have to sell me.
“Conte? There are ways to do and say things… thank God that I’m not without a team.”
Any deal for Costa is complicated by the transfer ban currently being served by Atletico.

United given Morata boost

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has convinced Alvaro Morata to join the Red Devils from Real Madrid.

Marca report the Portuguese manager has been given the green light and the club will make a bid imminently.
It will give Mourinho the firepower he needs after losing Zlatan Ibrahimovic to a serious knee injury.
The former Juventus star will follow Victor Lindelof, who joins from Benfica in a £30.7m deal.
