The vice president of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association, Gabriel Kumi has revealed that 1kilo of LPG Gas now sells at GhC 15.50p due to a 5% adjustment.

According to him, the upward adjustment of Liquified Petroleum Gas ( LPG) will make it difficult for the ordinary Ghanaian to purchase which has resulted in a decline in consumption of LPG Gas.

In an interview with Sefah-Danquah on Happy 98.9 fm morning show, Gabriel Kumi noted that the average Ghanaian is expected to spend about GHC 230 on the normal LPG cylinder which is about 14.5 kilos.

Meanwhile, government has set a target for Ghanaians to consume higher LPG in order to protect our forests.

But Mr. Kumi says if the President wants to meet the target, measures must be put in place to reduce the price of LPG.
