The 2019/20 Ghana Premier League will commence on 21 December, 2019 across the various league centers, the Ghana Football Association has announced.
The new season will see an increase in the number of teams from 16 to 18 as King Faisal and Accra Great Olympics have been included which was agreed at Congress in October.
A statement signed by the Ghana FA acting General Secretary Alex Asante: ”The Executive Council of Ghana Football Association has decided that the 2019/2020 league season will commence on Saturday, December 21, 2019.’’
The transfer window opened on 14 October, 2019 and is set to end on 15 December.
The Ghana Football Association will launch the various leagues on 17 December, 2019 while the Extra Ordinary Congress will be held on 20 December to usher in the new season.
